Lumenpage

1. What this is
Lumenpage is a personal diary app. These terms are the agreement between you and Raymond Ting, an individual in Singapore ("we", "us"), for using it. Using Lumenpage means you accept them.
How we handle your writing is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
2. Your account
You need a free Lumenpage account to use Lumenpage. It is what lets your diary sync between your devices and survive a lost phone. Your writing is saved on your phone first, and once you are signed in Lumenpage keeps working without a connection.
If you create one, keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if someone else gets access. You must be old enough to form a contract where you live, and at least 18. Lumenpage is not for children. The app does not check your age; you confirm it by creating an account.
3. Your writing is yours
You own what you write. Nothing in these terms gives us ownership of it, and nothing gives us a licence to publish it, analyse it, show it to anyone, or train anything on it.
We store and transmit your entries for one purpose: giving them back to you on your devices. That is the only permission you are granting, and it ends when you delete your account.
The Lumenpage app, its name and its design belong to us. That does not include your entries.
4. What you agree not to do
Lumenpage is a personal diary with nothing shared between users, so this list is short. Do not use it to break the law, to attack or overload our systems, or to get at another person's account. Do not try to extract other users' data.
Lumenpage is not a medical, therapy, crisis, or mental-health service. Do not rely on it for health decisions or urgent help. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services.
You are responsible for what you store. Do not upload another person's private writing or photos unless you have the right to.
4a. The stores
If you install Lumenpage from Google Play or the App Store, that store's terms also apply to the download and, later, to any purchase they process. This version has no purchases.
4b. Your phone
You are responsible for your password, your app-lock passcode, and who can unlock your phone. We cannot restore an account you delete. We cannot recover entries that never left a phone you no longer have. Sync means a signed-in device catches up when it can; it is not a promise that every device already holds every entry.
5. Backups are your responsibility too
We take reasonable care, but no service is immune to failure, and a device can be lost or broken at any time.
Use Settings → Export your diary periodically. It is the only copy fully under your control. If your writing matters to you, do not let the only copies be ones you do not hold.
6. Deleting things
You can delete an entry or your whole account from inside the app at any time. Account deletion is permanent: your entries, tags, files and account are removed, and we cannot restore them. Export first.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 4, and will tell you why where we lawfully can.
7. Paid features
Lumenpage is free in this version. Version 1.0 has no subscription and no paid features. If that changes, the price, the renewal terms and how to cancel will be disclosed before any charge, and billing will be handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
8. The service may change
We may add, change or remove features. Lumenpage is operated by one person, not a company. If it has to stop, we will try to give notice and time to export. Do not wait for that notice. Export while the app works.
9. No warranty
Lumenpage is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Some jurisdictions do not allow this, so it may not apply to you.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data where you had the means to export it and did not. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim and S$50.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury or fraud.
If a claim is brought against us because you broke section 4, you are responsible for the loss that causes, to the extent the law allows.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes go to the courts of Singapore. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights to bring proceedings where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here and, where they matter, tell you in the app before they take effect.
